Local School Can ‘Count’ on Support from Transylvania Company

A local school has found that it can, ‘er, count on a company 5,000 miles across the Atlantic in Transylvania – yes, that Transylvania, with the famous centuries-old resident. Only Fruit Bar, which opened a northeast regional distribution office in Atlantic Highlands to coincide with its U.S. product launch, is putting a little bite into the Spring Fling Gift Auction at Mother Teresa Regional School. But rest assured, there’s nothing scary or unnatural about this bite.

Over 400 spring fling guests will find Only Fruit Bar’s 100% all-natural fruit and nut health bars in their goodie bags at this Friday’s (April 11) PTA-sponsored fundraising event, whose proceeds will be used to purchase computers, supplies and other equipment to enhance the school’s music, math and science programs.

Only Fruit Bar, which also made a monetary donation to the PTA’s fundraising efforts, debuted this month in the U.S. – first rolling out its fruit and nut health bars in the New Jersey and New York markets.

“We are happy to support the Mother Teresa Regional School PTA because it is an organization that promotes community, family, education and healthy lifestyle in Atlantic Highlands,” said Robert Vasilescu, Only Fruit Bar vice president of sales, marketing and distribution in New Jersey.

“We felt an instant connection with this area because the beautiful hills of this picturesque Victorian town are very similar to the lush rolling hills of Transylvania that produce many of the natural fruits found in our health bars,” he added.
